Jelani, Inc. is a full service hair salon providing grooming to a multicultural and multiracial clientele throughout the New York Tri-state area. Jelani, Inc. also services clients throughout the United States as well as clients from other countries. Jelani was established in 1998.

Debra Ottley is the President and CEO of Jelani, Inc. Mrs. Ottley has over 15 years of industry experience. Debra graduated from Long Island Beauty School (L.I.B.S.) where she received a license in cosmetology. Debra, one of New York's hottest hairstylists, specializes in creating fabulous, versatile, undetectable hairstyles for agencies, production companies, and professional women in the corporate and entertainment industries. People from all walks of life are always welcomed to come in and discover their natural beauty.

Debra's hairstyles have been featured on some of the world-leading top fashion magazines such as Bazaar, Inside Salon, L Magazine, Panache, Sophisticate's Black Hair and Heart & Soul Magazine. She has had numerous articles written about her naturalist hairstyling approach. Debra's client roster includes the hip-hop diva Lauryn Hill, World Heavyweight Championship boxer Lenox Lewis and Cassandra Walden from the Big Brother show.

Jelani's expansion plans include the development of a natural hair care product line.
